Odd at first glance

Sometime in late 2019, I chanced upon a plot of land at the foot of Channagiri hill (part of the Nandi Hills range) - the location provided a vantage point over the development it was a part of, and set it apart since it was at the bottom of a boulder strewn hill. The plot was overgrown with vegetation and the terrain followed the slope of the hill behind it. Initially I struggled to comprehend the size of the plot and the potential to build anything here given the dense foliage and the rocks strewn around.

Once the vegetation was cleared, the basic contours of the land emerged - the plot was very sloped - the height difference from the north east corner to the south west corner was about 25 feet. While the eastern end of the plot was about 102 feet wide, the width narrowed to about 42 feet at the western end.
Most people prefer clean rectangular sites - this reduces the constraints on the location of the structure (home) on the site. Non standard sites like this are called odd sites.
An additional dimension was that this site was actually two approved (by local planning authorities) units which I would have to acquire and use as one - I only learnt much later that this had its own challenges ... one of the units had been reserved by a buyer, however I was informed that both could be made available should I decide to buy them together.
