A slippery story

We had heavy rains at the site last night - the foundations work is still underway - the soaked soil at the edge of several excavated pits for the footers and pedestals has slid into the excavated areas.

This obviously creates extra soil removal activity that will impact the construction schedule.
It's a relief that this has occurred during the night when the site was unoccupied - however we have initiated measures to ensure that our construction team is safe at all times.
The edges of the pits will need to be propped up to prevent any erosions. Unsafe sections will be blocked off so that the team will be unable to venture there.
We should be done with the foundations within another week - post this the soil will be refilled and there will not be scope for soil erosion.
